Cochise County Capacity Building Grant

The purpose of the Cochise County Capacity Building Grants is to strengthen existing services and support community-led initiatives, projects, or programs, which aim to provide sustainable hunger relief, increase community food security, and improve diet-related community health and wellness. Funding will be restricted to organizations located in Cochise County, Arizona. Successful proposals will demonstrate strong evidence of creating systems change related to health, address a specific community need, build on existing community assets, and demonstrate long-term collaboration and community building.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on March 31, 2017.

Punch Woods Endowment Grant

The purpose of the Punch Woods Endowment Grant is to improve Community Food Security (CFS) which is defined as the state in which persons obtain a nutritionally adequate, culturally acceptable diet through local, nonemergency sources. CFS programs build strong, sustainable, local food systems that ensure access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food to all people, at all times. This includes physical and economic access to sufficient food to meet their dietary needs for a productive and healthy life. Funding will be restricted to 501(c)(3) organizations located in Arizona, with a preference given to southern Arizona.
