Map the Meal Gap

A National Problem

Across the United States, the project estimates that 48,135,000 people are food insecure. To provide enough meals to close the gap, it would take over 24 billion dollars!

There are hungry people in every county, and every congressional district, nationwide. So, we work as a part of the network of food banks that provide assistance, and support to one-another, to close the meal gap.

Local Solutions

According to the project, about 15.4% of the people in our community are food insecure. To cover this need across our 23,000 square-mile service area, we work with hundreds of partners: other organizations, governments, retailers, and companies.

This past year, this network helped bring nearly 35 million pounds of food to more than 200,000 people in our community.
