Personalize your Fundraising Page:
Add some punch to your page with your photo or your team photo. Set a fundraising goal. Think about family, friends and neighbors who can pledge their support.
Profile Photo: Choose a high-resolution picture with clear, natural lighting to ensure your supporters can make out that face they know and love. Opt for a background that’s simple and non-distracting. A friendly smile can help convey your enthusiasm and dedication to HungerWalk.
Headline Ideas:
- Use a “Why I Walk” Statement (ie. “I walk because…”)
- Tell people why you want to end hunger in our area.
- Personal Motivation and Impact: Describe a personal experience or moment that inspires you to join HungerWalk.
- Community and Connection: Explain how HungerWalk connects our community, and why you want to be a part of that.
- Raising Awareness and Making a Difference: Talk about the difference we can make in walking together to raise awareness about hunger in Southern Arizona.

Give your Supporters a Virtual Option:
Maybe your next door neighbor wants to join you, but she has to get the kids to soccer. Maybe your best friend wants to be at HungerWalk but he’s out of town that weekend. One of the great things about HungerWalk is you can take it anywhere! Make a virtual walk from the mountains, from your neighborhood – even from another country. Invite people to be virtual walkers here.
Hold a Food Drive:
Host a HungerWalk food drive! We can help with boxes, signs, and guidelines. And if you collect more than 100 pounds of food, we’ll pick it up. Find out more here.

Matching Gifts: Encourage your supporters to find out if their employers will match their donations. Check the list of participating employers in the Matching Gift database.
Arizona Charitable Tax Credit
