The Produce Quality Assurance Program was created with the intention to improve safe produce distribution to clients; catch unacceptable produce earlier in the supply chain before it can be distributed; reduce waste; provide guidance for acceptability standards around produce distribution; and suggest ways to monitor and verify that the program is working as intended.  This program is aligned with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s mission to change lives in the communities we serve by feeding the hungry today and building a healthy, hunger-free tomorrow.

Below are some visual aids (in English and Spanish) for monitoring produce quality, as well as information about how to receive training on Produce Quality Assurance practices.
