๐ŸŒป Join Us for a Week of Farm Fun: June 8th – 12th from 8AM – 12PM! ๐ŸŒป

Get ready for an exciting adventure at our Las Milpitas Community Farm! Spend a week exploring the garden, making cool crafts, and learning how to care for the Earth. Each day is packed with hands-on fun like:

๐ŸŽจ Making art with colorful plant dyes
๐Ÿพ Discovering awesome animals and native plants
๐ŸŒฑ Digging into soil and compost to see what makes gardens grow
๐Ÿ“ Cooking tasty treats with ingredients from the garden!

๐ŸŽค Plus Guest Speakers from U of A Cooper Center for Environmental Education and Pima County Parks and Recreation.

Get your hands dirty, make new friends, and become a nature hero!๐ŸŒโœจ

Details:

    • Ages: 8 to 12 (3rd to 5th Grade)
    • Monday, June 8th to Friday, June 12th
    • Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM every day (A parent or guardian must arrive on time to sign in and out)
    • Las Milpitas Community Farm
    • Cost: $60 for the whole week. Scholarships will be considered on a limited basis.

Participants must be able to attend all five days. Parents and guardians are welcome to participate as little or as much as they wish throughout the week. The deadline to apply and submit your application will be Monday, June 2nd, 2026.

Day 1: The Life Cycle of Plant ๐ŸŒฟ

Objective: Understand the stages of plant growth and the needs of plants.

Day 2: Compost and Soil Science ๐ŸŒ

Objective: Discover how nature recycles! Learn how food scraps and leaves turn into healthy soil, what belongs in the compost pile (and what doesn’t!), and what makes soil strong and full of life.

Day 3: Colors of the World ๐ŸŒž

Objective: Learn about all the different colors that can come from plants and explore plant adaptations to the sun.

Day 4: Farm to Table ๐Ÿšœ

Objective: Learn where food comes from and the importance of eating fresh, local produce.

Day 5: Environmental Stewardship and Celebration ๐ŸŒŽ

Objective: Celebrating all we’ve learned.
