In this workshop we will learn about growing food to strengthen our communities. Participants will learn some of the foundational principles of Organic Gardening. Participants will focus on conserving the desert’s most precious natural resource, water. In this class, participants will learn a variety of methods to irrigate their gardens, from ancient traditional agricultural techniques to modern state of the art technologies. Participants will spend time learning how they can increase the fertility of desert soils to make them more suitable for growing food crops.
